Nothing Left to Chance as Ideal for All Marks 13th Birthday

Last night, Ideal for All, the local disability charity, celebrated its 13th Birthday with its annual AGM and Christmas Dinner. The event held at Tipton Sports Academy was attended by over one hundred and thirty local members and special guests. The leader of the Council, Darren Cooper who spoke at the event praised the work of Ideal for All in it's unique approach to empowering people with disabilities to live an independent life. 

The AGM elected a new Chair, Carol Goff, and Vice-Chair, Doreen Veale. Carol Goff, who cares for her husband John, said on being elected chair:

‘I am proud and privileged to have been elected Chair of Ideal for All. From using its services I know the difference it makes to help people take control of their own lives. I’d also like to thank Helen Stephens for the valuable contribution she has made as our Chair.’

Glynn Dixon, Sandwell Council’s Head of Service for Inclusion and Improvement said:

‘The organisation has service users at the heart of its decision-making which is why it has been so successful. I would like to thank both trustees and staff for their commitment and hard work over the years.’

The evening’s entertainment included local singer Simon Goff and a three- course Christmas Dinner for Ideal for All members. Sandwell Council’s Deputy Leader, Councillor Mahboob Hussain also attended the event.
