Job Title: Senior Direct Payments Co-ordinator (Incorporating Personalisation focus)
Post Reference: IFA 126
Hours: 37 hours per week (this may include some evening/weekend work as required).  Job share will also be considered.
Duration: Until end of March 2010 (continuation subject to funding and review)
Grade: IFA Pay Scale S1/30 (£23063)
Closing Date: 5pm - 17th July 2009

Ideal for All is a not for profit company and registered charity run by and for disabled people in Sandwell. It provides a range of services to support disabled people, carers and disadvantaged groups to learn new skills and live as independently as possible.

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Direct Payments Co-ordinator:

  • To support the continuous development and co-ordination of the Direct Payments support service.
  • To undertake necessary research and networking for the Personalisation and transformation of Adult Social Care.
  • To actively develop detailed knowledge of Putting People First concordat and the upcoming transformation of Adult Social Care.
  • To provide impartial support, advice and information to disabled people wishing to opt for Direct Payments / Personal Budgets.
  • To deliver relevant training and information sessions to disabled people and professionals.
  • To provide Line Management support to other staff within the Direct Payments support service, as required.
  • To organise and collate performance information and service data to meet monitoring requirements.
  • To collaborate in the successful delivery of the Direct Payments Service Level Agreement.
  • To engage disabled people in the discussions around Personalisation.
