As part of the National Deaf Awareness Week, Ideal for All will be hosting a Deaf Awareness Day on Friday 8th May from 10:00 til 4:00pm at:

Independent Living Centre
100 Oldbury Road, Smethwick,
West Midlands, B66 1JE

Why not come and join us?! Exhibitors include: West Midlands Fire Service, Sarabec, Hearing Dogs, Hearing Products and the Home Accident Prevention Team

We will also be hosting BINGO, so why not join us for your chance to win some fantastic prizes?!
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day

Deaf & Hearing Impaired - Service Details

The Equipment Service for Deaf & Hearing Impaired People offers information and assessment on a range of equipment to assist people to live more safely and independently.

The service is available for both adults and children. It is provided from the Independent Living Centre, where a display of equipment is available to see and try.


Who can use the service?

If you live in Sandwell and are:

  • Hard of Hearing
  • Deaf
  • Deaf/Blind

If you live outside Sandwell we will only offer you advice and information. Both adults and children can use the service.

When is it available?

Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.30pm
Friday 9am to 5.00pm

How you can contact us?

Assessments and advice with the service staff are carried out on an appointment only basis. For those people who are unable to attend, home visits can be arranged. People can contact the service themselves. The audiology department in hospitals or other agencies can also refer you to us.
