Parent Participation - Service Details
What is the Parent Participation Officer?
The role has been created to enable you, as parents and carers of disabled children
and young people, to voice your experiences, your views and your concerns on
service provision within Sandwell. These will then be presented to the people
responsible for providing the services to allow debate to occur in how they could be
improved or developed to better serve you.
How can you get involved?
Your involvement is crucial in letting services know how they support you. By
becoming a parent representative you will be able to participate in the Parent
Forum where your views can be expressed and listened to. We will also be hosting
various consultations throughout the year to capture a broader range of parent/
carer views.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Parent Forum or a Parent
Representative, please speak to the Parent Participation Officer for further
information.
There will be regular Parent Forum sessions held. For further details please contact
the Parent Participation Officer.
